    曲阜是古代伟大思想家、教育家孔子故乡，儒家文化发祥地，全国首批24个历史文化名城，现存文物300余处。孔府、孔庙、孔林为世界文化遗产，全国首批AAAA级景区。计生局被命名“全国计划生育系统先进集体”、市计生协被命名为“全国计划生育协会县级先进单位”、计划生育优质服务先进县（市）。

     Qufu,the hometown of Chinese great thinker and educator Confucius and the birthplace of Conrucianism,is one of famous cities with long history and great culture in China.There are over 300 historical relics in Qufu,among which Confucian Mansion,Cconfucian Temple and Confucian Woods are defined as world's cultural heritage by UNESCO and one of the first AAAA touring sights in our country.

　　为转变生男轻女、传宗接代等陈旧、落后的封建传统生育观念，城乡广泛建起了计划生育宣传街，进行公益性社会宣传；各级党校、干校、中小学校和人口学校开设了人口知识课堂，广播、电视等新闻媒体开办了计划生育宣传栏目；市计划生育局先后举办了巡展、文艺调演、艺术展览等群众性文化动。

BIRTH CULTURE

    In order to change the antiquated,backward feudal thoughts of giving birht to a child such as regarding men as superior to women and producing a male heir to continue the family line,many streets are decorated for propagating to the society the importance of birth control in both cities and towns.

　　通过坚持不懈的努力，全市低生育水平得到了持续稳定，群众生育观念发生了明显转变，求富求知、少生优生、建设幸福文明家庭成为青年人的共同理想，计划生育率连续9年达99%以上，先后有3400多户家庭放弃了生育指标。

SOCIAL EFFECTS

    Thanks to everyone's persistent efforts, the city's low birth rate is stable for a long period of tine,and people's concepts of birth are changed dramatically.The desire for prosperity and knowledge,the idea of bearing less but better children and the yearning to have a happy family are very common among young people.

　 切实加强对计生工作领导，实行人口目标责任制，严格兑现奖惩；出台一系列有利于计生工作文件，逐年增加计生事业经费，全面落实对计生家庭奖励、救助扶持措施；努力稳定计生机构和人员，加强业务培训，提高计划生育队伍的管理服务能力。
